Co-Led by Expert Facilitators, Coaches and Keynote Speakers Amy Ahlers and Brie Mathers

January 12, 2019 10:30am-5:30pm SF East Bay Location

This one-day power packed, interactive workshop is for girls, tweens and teens 6th-9th grade accompanied by a woman who loves them (i.e. their mom, aunt, grandma, guardian, friend, caregiver).

In our connected age, adolescents are confronted daily with media idealizations about what it is to be a woman that are limiting and frequently hazardous to their health. Studies show that many young women would rather be called "sexy" than “smart" and that they are spending more time on social media than ever. This leaves them at a disadvantage in the journey to becoming leaders of a better world, a loss that affects all of us.

At the same time as women, we are also confronted with the toxicity of media, stress and the “never good enough” mindset. Chances are no matter how successful or wonderful you are, you’re being way too hard on yourself.

It's time to STOP the cycle for yourself and stop modeling it for the girls in your life.

This transformative day-long workshop for mothers and daughters/ girls and grown-ups:

  • Bonds girls and grown-ups in thinking critically about culturally prescribed body image and sexuality stereotypes
  • Invites girls and women to question the socio-economic underpinnings of how we are falsely represented in media
  • Examines our social media lives, the pressure young women feel to compete for effortless perfection in our Instagram feeds, and the value of authenticity
  • Inspires girls and women to step out of competition and self-criticism and step into collaboration and self-confidence
  • Introduces girls and women to their “Inner Mean Girl,” the source of our negative self-talk, so we can begin to turn down the volume
  • Nurtures the connection to our Inner Wisdom, the voice of truth inside us, so both girls and women can make aligned, safe choices
  • Inspires girls and women to lead with love and remember the enduring value of self worth, sisterhood, empathy, and community

This groundbreaking workshop will transform your relationship to yourself and your relationship to the girls in your life. You and your girls will leave filled with connection, compassion, respect and love!

This workshop is a beautiful fit for you if you are ready to:

  • Deepen your connection and relationship with your girl so she feels safe to communicate with you as she gets older
  • Release the worry that the hectic pace of life and distractions could pull you apart
  • Help your daughter celebrate her body as an instrument over an ornament
  • Give your daughter the tools she needs to thrive even when you're not around
  • Model courage so your girl can trust and belong to herself
  • Equip your girl with empathy as her social media superpower
  • Discover what’s really going on in your girl's inner world
  • Bring the power of mindfulness home to your and her developing body and mind
  • Ensure you and your daughter don't feel pressured to be a perfect good girl with no space for mistakes or failures

Let's gather in circle as women and girls to release the pressure, fear and worry and transmute it into love, trust and connection. We'd be honored to have you join us!
